My National Volunteer Day 2015 Activity 2: My Visit To The Teshie Orphanage

Teshie Orphanage A picture says a lot. Just see the smiles on the faces of the volunteers and children of the Teshie Orphanage, Accra. I was privileged to join Naa Oyo Quartey and her group WhatAWomanOrg on NVDay 2015, 21st September at the Teshie Orphanage for a reading clinic. A donation was made and we were all happy to have spent the day with the children. From there i went with Patrick Keli Atsitsogbui and Deu Donne Gameli to the New Life Nungua Children’s Home International at Nungua, also a suburb of Accra. The children were taken through some basic scientific experiments and over there too, some books were donated to encourage the children to read more. At the end of the day, we the volunteers and all those who helped in diverse ways went home feeling happy as we also did our bit to put some smiles on the faces of these children.

Join us next year on National Volunteers Day, 21st September and volunteer to make a positive impact in your community. God bless our homeland Ghana.
