The people of Agotime Kpetoe in the Volta Region of Ghana just south of the regional capital, Ho near the border with Togo since 1995 have celebrated the Agotime Kente Festival. The festival was established to celebrate and promote the kente weaving industry in the Agotime Traditional Area. The area has one of the highest concentration of weavers in Ghana which is the main occupation of most of the people. It also serves as a source of cultural pride for the people in the area.
